This project addresses the social sustainability risks in Indonesia’s fossil wood and agate mining sectors. With a focus on four regions known for artisanal extraction and small-scale mineral processing, the project supports improvements in working conditions, governance, and market access within these high-risk supply chains.

- Occupational Safety & Health (OSH): Assessment of mining and workshop conditions; development of safer practices for workers.
- Due Diligence Systems: Strengthening traceability and risk-based management systems for producers and exporters.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Dialogues with local governments, traders, and cooperatives to foster shared responsibility.
- BUMDes Integration: Enhancing the role of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) to facilitate formalization, improve livelihoods, and anchor sustainability at the local level.
