Her leadership has directly contributed to RSPO certification of over 500 farmers. In addition to agronomic support, she plays a key role in onboarding farmers into loan schemes and traceability systems, while also assisting over 400 farmers in the land titling process through BPN.
Heni’s trusted relationship with local communities and government stakeholders makes her an integral part of PlanB’s strategy to scale inclusive, verified deforestation-free supply chains in East Kalimantan.
Azmi has worked with institutions such as Universitas Gadjah Mada and the University of Amsterdam, contributing to research on global capital flows, gendered vulnerability, and land governance. Her field experience spans Kalimantan, Papua, and Java, where she has worked closely with NGOs, academic teams, and community stakeholders to promote inclusive, evidence-based approaches to sustainable land use.
At PlanB, Azmi supports both research and implementation. She plays a key role in developing learning and communications materials for field teams and project partners.
